The Akron-Westfield CSD has communicated with the USDA in regard to the use of school nutrition funds. The universal free breakfast is an allowable use of school nutrition funds if the district has at least three months of operating costs in the nutrition fund.

The Akron-Westfield CSD will be offering a free-reimbursable breakfast to all students until the end of the 2023-2024 school year.

All a la carte or “extras” are still the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
