Welcome to the Akron-Westfield Community School District Website. Akron-Westfield Community School District is located on the Western edge of Plymouth County, Iowa. Our total DK-12 student population is around 600 students.
Due to ongoing issues with Hudl and streaming on Hudl Fan, Fuller Digital Solutions is moving their streams back to YouTube. Here is the YouTube link for tonight's broadcast.
This will be a transition period. Many of our varsity events will now be on YouTube, but we will still have a large number of lower-level contests on Hudl Fan. We hope to complete the transition to all YouTube in the near future so all of the AW athletic contests are streamed to the same platform.

📣 ✋HIGH FIVE FRIDAY SPECIAL GUESTS NEEDED!! ✋📢 Friday our homecoming royalty will be leading charge in High Five Friday. We are looking to add an extra twist to it this year. We are calling ALL ALUMNI to join us in your Akron Westfield gear and make this High Five Friday extra special! Please join us around 7:35 AM to greet our students.
High Five tunnels will be formed out front of the elementary entrance.
Red Ticket Drawing! Students earn tickets throughout the week for showing their RRPK behaviors by being Respectful, Responsible, Prepared, and Kind. Each Friday, names are drawn from all Red Tickets earned from the current week and students are recognized by being able to select a prize. Congrats to those who had their name drawn and keep up the great work. Go Westerners!

What is your favorite thing about working at a.w.? I love being able to work in the same community I grew up in. I remember the lunch crew that served me when I was a kid and I'd love to be able to have the lasting impact they had on me!
Fuel of choice: What is your go-to coffee, tea, or snack to get through a busy school day? My "fuel of choice" is straight black coffee then water for most of the day.
What is your dream vacation? At this point my dream vacation would be one I get to go on! I haven't been on a vacation in years. My career in food service has left almost no time to get away. It's probably been 10 plus years since I've gone on a vacation, maybe longer.
What is your favorite quote? My favorite quote comes from Abraham Lincoln "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt" it's best to stay silent to listen and learn that's why you have two ears and one mouth!
